A Late 17th Century Oyster Veneered Chest of two short over two long drawers on a later stand. The top inlaid with kingwood bands framing a quatrefoil panel to the centre and quadrants to the corners, framed by figured walnut cross-banding. The drawers fitted with brass drop handles on petalled mounts, with applied moulding to the divides. The stand with moulded top and silhouette cut S-scroll block legs; three to the front and two to the back, united by wavy cut peripheral stretchers and terminating on bun feet, 40¾” (103.5 cm) high, 36” (91.5 cm) wide, 19½” (49.5 cm) deep.
