Description
A Large 19th Century Boullework Credenza. The black marble top having canted breakfront corners above two arched panel doors with gilt brass trellis grilles backed in pleated silk and edged with cast foliate beading. The frieze and door frames richly decorated with engraved brass inlay displayed against red tortoiseshell veneers. The canted sides mounted with bacchanalian face masks, with further gilt masks adorning the ebonised sides. Standing on a sweeping plinth base 42” (107 cm) high, 53½” (136 cm) wide, 17¾” (45 cm) deep.*
