A Late 16th/Early 17th Century Oak Coffer. The twin panel front having a carved frieze of jewel-work & nulling enhanced with dark stain to the recesses and centred by an iron hasp and lock-plate. The panels emblazoned with daisy-head roundels to the centres and incised stems of punch-worked trefoils leading diagonally towards the corners. The muntin, stiles and base rail enhanced with two channels of run-moulding above S-scrolled spandrels. The front pegged to end planks with cut in V-shaped feet. 27½” (70 cm) high, 41½ (105.5 cm)| wide, 20” (51 cm) deep.
