Description
A Late 16th/Early 17th Century Oak Frieze Rail carved in relief with an undulating trail of acanthus issuing seeding flower-heads and husk flowers proceeded by a dog grappling a serpent and having a cherubic figure playing pan-pipes sat amongst the foliage, beneath a moulded top edge, 5” (13 cm) high, 21½” (54.5 cm) wide.
