Description
An 18th Century Coconut Shell Tumbler or Stirrup Cup. The intricately decorated bowl having four arched panels each displaying different tropical birds incised with rayed ornamentation, all between two carved lappet borders below a plain lip. Mounted on a later turned lignum vitae baluster stem, 6” (15.5 cm) tall.
