Description
A Splendid 19th Century Carved & Gessoed Gilt Wall Cabinet. The canted glass sides and glazed door in a gadrooned frame enclosing a blue velvet lined interior fitted with two serpentine shelves of scrolling foliate brackets. The case surmounted by an elaborate pediment with a basket of crested leaves and jutting flower heads to the centre and cascading garlands either side, plumed adornments to the corners and Rococo scrolls to the base, 55” (140 cm) high, 25” (64 cm) wide, 10” (25 cm) deep.
