Description
A 17th Century Style Carved Oak Full Tester Bed incorporating period elements. The panelled tester with moulded edge raised on a richly carved headboard and carved & fluted foot posts above a triple panelled foot board. The foot board panels decorated with guilloche quatrefoils entwined around central rosette roundels. The head board having a broad frieze of arabesque strapwork to the top above an arcaded section profusely decorated with foliage and fanned flower-heads to the recessed twin arches, flanked by figural pilasters above a candle ledge with lunette moulded rail over three plain base panels. 80” (203 cm) high, 84” (213 cm) in length, 56” (142 cm) wide.
