An Unusual 18th Century Lowboy. The rectangular top with a slate inset framed by a broad border inlaid with panels of heraldic lions and intricately scrolling motifs edged with chequer stringing. The apron fitted with three lip-moulded drawers; a shallow drawer to the centre above a scrolling knee-hole ‘arch’ flanked by short, deep side drawers, inlaid with banding and fitted with small brass knops. Standing on cabriole legs with pad feet 28” (71 cm) high, 35” (89 cm) wide, 24½” (62 cm) deep.
