Description
A Fine Quality Late Victorian Mahogany & Satinwood Inlaid Display Cabinet. The moulded top having a sweeping breakfront pediment either side above a satinwood frieze inlaid with swagged bellflower garlands tied in ribbon bows and hung with paterae medallions. The pediments capping breakfront side cabinets with shaped glazing bars of inlaid satinwood cross-banding to the glass doors, and glass shelves within, flanking a mirror backed centre section above twin doored cupboard inlaid with oval paterae panels enriched with penwork. The piece raised on turned rising baluster legs carved with bands of leaves above a serpentine front base shelf on turned feet, 72½” (184 cm) high, 59” (150 cm) wide.
