A Late 17th Century Wrought Iron Strong Box of rectangular form,. The heavy twin panel lid with a swing handle to the front and a pivoting shaped strap key-hole cover to the muntin. The sides fitted with sturdy swing carrying handles. The spring action locking mechanism lacking key, 15¾” (40 cm) high, 24¼” (62 cm) wide, 15¾” (40 cm) deep.
