A Highly Decorative Late 19th Century Marquetry Centre Table in the Louis XVI Style. The D-ended, break-sided top enriched with elaborate inlay depicting a hanging urn cascading flowers below a domed baldachin swagged with drapery displayed against an ebony ground to a D-ended centre panel, surrounded by intricate beaded strapwork and voluted foliate embellishments within an ornate multi-banded border edged with cast gilt metal beading. The frieze inlaid with further undulating foliate scrolls and housing a drawer to one side, raised on ebonised stop-fluted legs adorned with gilt mounts and leading down to a curved X-form stretcher centred by an urn finial, 30” (76 cm) high, 53½” (136 cm) wide, 31½” (80 cm) deep.
