A Fine Quality 19th Century Marquetry Centre Table in the Louis XVI Style. The rectangular break-sided top having a hinged D-shaped drop-leaf either end supported by a fly bracket. The whole intricately inlaid with urns cascading foliate scrolls displayed in beautifully figured amboyna panels framed by decorative borders inlaid with bands of over-lapped scales, leafy flourishes to the corners and rosette roundels adorning the midpoints, with brass trimmed edges. The frieze enriched with further inlay and housing a drawer to one side, raised on ebonised stop-fluted legs leading down to a curved X-form stretcher centred by an urn finial and terminating on turned, tapering feet, 29” (74 cm) high, 30” (76 cm) wide [flaps down], 45” (115 cm) [flaps up], 20¾” (53 cm) deep.
