The bent ash back hoop above a fretted centre splat pierced with Christmas tree motifs and flanked by eight ash spindles leading down to a three-part alder arm bow with outswept pad terminals above elaborately turned spindles and a lower pierced splat. The elm seat with well turned legs united by an H-form stretcher, 43 ins (110 cm) high, 24½ ins (62 cm) wide.
