Description
A Large Early 16th Century Franco-Flemish Oak Press Cupboard/ Aumbry. The planked top with later end cleats above quadrupled panelled sides and a profusely carved facade of Gothic tracery panels within a run-moulded framework enclosing an upper & lower cupboard. The upper cupboard having outer doors on chased iron strap hinges flanking a pair of centre panels. The base cupboard with side panels flanking a pair of central doors. The piece raised on stile supports 46” (117 cm) high, 66” (168 cm) wide, 20¾” (53 cm) deep.
