A Pair of Delightful Early 18th Century Carved & Polychromed Wooden Putti on integral Stands. The fleshy infants representing Summer & Autumn: one wearing a crown of corn, holding a wheat sheath in his arm, the other wreathed in vines holding aloft a bunch of grapes. The columnar pedestals emblazoned with scrolled cartouches featuring a rising sun flower to the front, with pendant fruit garlands to the sides, terminating on lion paw feet 49” (125 cm) high.
