The movement striking a bell and stamped Japy Frères & Cie Medaille d’honneur numbered 3053 5 2 corresponding to the numbered pendulum. The enameled dial signed Ant Roetig Paris with Roman numerals counting the hours and arabics counting the minutes set out in a segmented border. The shaped case clad in golden tortoiseshell veneers and enriched with scrolling foliate mounts. The pediment surmounted by an open cast Rococo crest, 18 ins (46 cms) in height.
