The back panel in a pierced frame carved with acanthus scrolls beneath a fine open rails cresting rail featuring ‘boyes & crowne’, flanked by turned finials surmounting the barley-twist side columns. The seat with foliate carved frame supported by barley-twist legs with a carved ornamental rail to the front reflecting the cresting rail, and a barley-twist H-form stretcher below, 45” (114 cm) high, 19½” (50 cm) wide.
