Description
A Charles I Oak Wainscot Chair. The panelled back having decorative carved strap-work to the top rail above an upper panel of foliate C-scrolls and a lozenge motif to the principal panel. The channel moulded framework enriched with punchwork. The arms on cannon barrel posts leading down to similarly turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 41¾” (106 cm) high, 24” (61 cm) wide.
