A Good Charles II Carved & Dated Oak Court Cupboard. The upper section having a guilloche canopy frieze centred by the date 1668 with turned pendant finials either side; one carved with initials W.T to the tenon block above. The two upper cupboard doors flanking an arcaded centre panel enriched with ‘Flower-Potte’ design defined against a recessed pitted ground beneath a guilloche arch with foliate spandrels. The door hung on iron butterfly hinges and carved with reeded S-scrolls & half flower heads in run-moulded frames. The base section having a twin panel door to the centre flanked by pairs of side panels enriched with carving and standing on tall run moulded stiles, 62½” (159 cm) high, 58” (147.5 cm) wide, 23½” (59.5 cm) deep.
