Description
A Fine 19th Century Porcelain & Gilt Bronze Table Clock. The 2¼” (5.5 cm) diameter dial marked with Roman numerals and mounted in a square frame with intricately pierced & engraved scrolling foliate spandrels recessed to the corners. The rectangular case with sloped top and Sèvres style porcelain plaques set to the top, back and sides depicting romantic scenes in bleu celeste borders with painted gilt embellishments. The gilt bronze framework enriched with engraving on a cavetto moulded base, 6” (15 cm) high, 5½” (14 cm) wide, 4½” (11.5 cm) deep [at the base].
