Description
A Group of Eight Silver Miniature Ornaments, mainly Dutch. To include a model windmill with rotating sails, 2¾” (7 cm) in height. A 930 stamped gondola with London duty marks, circa 1841, the hull embossed and chased with scrolls of flowers and foliage, 4” (10 cm) in length. A caddy spoon with an ornately cast scalloped bowl pierced with birds & foliage above scenery, on a windmill handle. A lute cast with two putti to the back amidst scrolling decoration, 3” (8 cm) in length. A winged cherub with donkey standing on an oval rococo base. And three figures on flat chequered bases; a man bowling, a milkmaid with cow, and a lamp lighter with street lamp.
