Description
Three 19th Century Folk Art Snuff Boxes in the form of Books: One having a simulated leather spine painted ‘Aesop’s Fabels’ and a pivoting rectangular lid, 3½” x 2½” x 1¼” (9 cm x 6.5 cm x 3 cm). The second decorated with chip carving and having an inset bone lozenge to the sliding lid, 1¼” x 3¾” x 2½” (3 cm x 9.5 cm x 6.5 cm). The third inlaid with decorative banding centred by a pique work lozenge to each side, 1” x 3½” x 2½” (2.5 cm x 9 cm x 6.5 cm).*
