Description
A Victorian Inlaid Rosewood Work Table. The hinged rectangular top having a serpentine edge with brass trim, marquetried with a bouquet of flowers to the centre within a birds-eye maple border band with scrolling foliate embellishments and shell motifs to the corners. The sweeping frieze inlaid all around with further stringing and foliate scrolls, standing on square tapering cabriole legs with cast gilt brass mounts. The top rising to reveal a dressing mirror and frieze compartment fitted with a sliding partitioned tray. 29” (74 cm) high, 21” (53.5 cm) wide, 15” (38 cm) deep.
