Each having a top rail with a shaped cut-in profile above a carved back panel decorated with a lozenge motif and foliage, and a lunette carved base rail, flanked by rising leaves adorning the uprights. The arm supports and legs turned with repeated ball knops; the legs united by peripheral stretchers, the front stretchers enriched with gouge carving. The seat rails carved with interlinked lunettes, 42” (107 cm) high, 23” (58 cm) wide, 18” (46 cm) deep.
