A navette shaped brass box engraved with Melville Castle to the base and inscription Clifford Carpenter March 1st 1810 to the hinged lid below a foaming tankard, 4½” x 2¼” (11.5 cm x 6 cm). An oval copper box engraved John Taylor Backbarrow 1806, 4” x 2¼” (10 cm x 6 cm). A circular silvered box with engine turned guilloche engraving to the sides and a silvered copper plaque to the lid finely engraved with a figural scene entitled ‘La Charité’ and signed D Wicker GR. 3” (8 cm) in diameter. And a brass box cast with bust of a 16th century gent to the hinged lid secured by a catch, with an oval crest to the base, 3¼” x 1¾” (8 cm x 4.5 cm).
