An 18th Century Oak Bible Box. The carved front board dated 1705 and initialled JC. The sloped lid edged in applied moulding and rising to reveal a three tiered bank of moulded drawers with brass drop handles on petalled mounts to the back. 12½” (31.5 cm) high, 22” (56 cm) wide, 18½” (47 cm) deep.
