A Fine Quality Scottish Ebony Box of flat circular form richly carved with an armorial crest encircled by a border band inscribed DAVID BAILLIE edged in gadrooning, with Gothic tracery style scalloping adorning the sides, a John Taylor collector’s label to the base and inscribed paper label; ‘Baillie of Hoprig E Lothian Daudifour Inverness’ 3½” (9 cm) in diameter. And an oval mahogany box with a double tiered pivoting lid inlaid with initials IT , 3½” x 2¼” (9 cm x 5.5 cm).
