A Good 17th Century French Joined Walnut Metamorphic Throne Chair. The tall paneled back having a geometrically moulded principal panel hinged to the base with a catch to the top, falling down to form a counter top supported by turned pegs either side of the arms. The moulded arms having upswept scroll terminals above turned baluster side posts. The box form seat with hinged lid above panelled sides enhanced with stepped moulding, 78” (198 cm) high, 25½” (65 cm) wide, 19” (48 cm) deep.
