The domed lid surmounted by a coiled pike with fish in it’s mouth; it’s upswept tail forming a finial. The circular relief moulded pot having a flared trefoil-petalled rim, decorated with sprigs of flowers and insects beneath a scroll work border, and set in a petalled stand with rococo scroll ornamentation incorporating trellis-work cartouches and flowers, 6” (15 cm) high, 7¼” (18.5 cm) diameter.
