Description
A Small White Marble, Gilt Bronze & Paste Clock Garniture Set in the Louis XVI Style. The clock having a 1¾” (4.5 cm) diameter white enamelled dial encircling by a ring of paste gems, with black Arabic numerals marking the hours within a ring of dotted minute marks, ornamented with intricately painted swage of pink rose garlands with gilt embellishments, and having ornately pierced and gilded hands. The urn shaped marble case issuing gilt flowers from the top, with crested bellflower pedants forming handles to the sides, standing on a pedestal foot and square plinth base on toupee feet, 9” (23 cm) in height. The accompanying candlesticks 5¼” (13 cm) high.
