Two Large ‘Istoriatio’ Maiolica Tiles polychrome painted with Stations of the Cross and set in a carved, polychromed and gilded wooden surround. The frieze carved with two panels emblazoned with winged cherub heads amidst billowing clouds, flanked by break front pilasters blocks emblazoned with paterae above gilded stop-fluted columns with crested capitals and foliate carved base bands. 25” (64 cm) high, 31” (79 cm) in width.
