Description
A Fine 19th Century Parquetry & Tulipwood Games Table. The hinged fold-over top inlaid with a chequer board of boxwood & ebony squares flanked by rosewood crossbanding and diagonally grained quarter veneers with rounded proburant corners and ornately cast gilt metal beading to the edges. The top folding over to reveal a green baize insert to the centre with long D-ended wells each side in striking diagonally grained timber inlaid with rosewood cross-banding. The square cabriole legs embellished with cast foliate scroll mounts; the rear legs pulling out to support the top, 29” (74 cm) in height, 32” (82 cm) wide.
