And a photographic portrait from the studio of Boak & Sons, Bridlington, inscribed on ; ‘Kate Pennington (Mabel’s mother) Bridlington 1896, also Will’s Ethel’s and Tom’s mother’, set in an elaborate gilt metal frame adorned with scrolling embellishments encrusted with paste and backed in claret guilloche enamel, 10” x 7½” (25.5 cm x 19 cm).
