The rectangular tortoiseshell case having an oval gilt brass pop-up flap to the top engraved with an urn cascading flowers, and opening via a sliding catch release to the front to reveal a small singing bird with vibrant coloured plumage, emerging from an intricately pierced grille within. The case engraved with retailers name Finnigans London, with a hinged panel to the back enclosing compartment for the winding key. 1¼” (3 cm) high, 4” (10 cm) wide, 2¾” (7 cm) deep.
