Description
A Harlequin Set of Ten Spindle Back Rush Seat Dining Chairs including two armchairs, attributed to Lancashire/Cheshire Area, Circa 1800-1860. The dipped cresting rails above two rows of turned spindles between round turned uprights. The rush seats standing on turned front legs terminating on pad & block feet and united by knopped front stretcher with plain turned stretchers to the sides and rear. The armchairs having three rows of spindles to the back; one with lobed ‘ear’ terminals to the top rail.
