A 17th Century and Later Italian Joined Walnut Side Chair. The two broad back bars carved with voluted scrolls surrounding rectangular figured walnut panels inlaid with banded borders and flanked by plain uprights with carved foliate crested scroll finials. The solid seat having a moulded edge raised on square legs united by a scrolling front rail echoing the back bars, with plain stretchers to the sides and rear. 47” (120 cm) high, the seat 20½” (52 cm) high, 20” (51 cm) wide.
