A 17th Century Style Italian Carved Walnut Dressoir. The rectangular single plank top having a carved & moulded edge, with an applied plate rest strip to the back, above two frieze drawers and a twin doored cupboard raised on shaped end supports richly carved with renaissance style harpies and united by a shaped stretcher rail with wedged through tenon joints either side. The upper frieze drawers divided by moulding into three panels centred by a carved protuberant head of a bearded man. The door panels emblazoned with carved roundels and flower spray quadrants to the corners framed with facetted pyramidal beading and flanked with fine figural pilasters depicting putti stood on green man face mask corbels. Standing 54” (137 cm) high, 56¾” (144 cm) wide, 21¼” (54 cm) deep.
