Description
An 18th Century and Later Italian Box-topped Cabinet. The associated rectangle plank lid inlaid with bands of stringing in an eight point star motif to the centre above a bulge-topped box compartment carved gadrooning below a frieze of voluted scrolls linked by a strap band, and adorned with rams’ heads to the corners festoon in fruit garlands. The recessed cupboard below having moulded twin doors flanked by barley-twist columns, standing on turned bun feet, 30¼” (77 cm) high, 32” (81 cm) wide, 17” (43 cm) deep.
