An allegorical scene with figures in landscape depicting a general in Roman attire and soldiers, one shield emblazoned with an armorial of crescent moons and a star, in a leafy landscape with animals, further hunting figures and chateau in distance. Later backed and framed in a blue & ochre band, approximately, 75½” x 108” (192 cm x 274 cm).
