A Black Lacquered Mother-of-pearl Inlaid Tilt-top Tripod Table. The generous octagonal top decorated with richly coloured nacre inlay depicting a chinoiserie scene with an eagle perched in a pine tree, peonies growing at it’s foot and birds flitting overhead; the boughs swept over a river with mandarins fishing in the swirling water. The knopped centre stem interspersed with floral sprays and insects, raised on three silhouette cut scroll legs, 30½” (77 cm) high, 31” (79 cm) wide.
