The top having a decorative beaded edge with an inlaid scrolling design to the centre flanked by two pierced letter slots labelled with inset mother-of-pearl labels inscribed ‘Answered’ and ‘Unanswered’. The front adorned with further inlay and banded corners. The partitioned interior having an engraved scenic label inscribed ‘Attingham Shropshire’ Standing on squat bun feet, 4¾” (12 cm) high, 8¾” (22.5 cm) wide, 4¾” (12 cm) deep.
