A Fine 18th Century Dome-topped Casket clad in leather with tooled gilt border bands and decorative embellishments to the corners. The hinged lid surmounted by a swing handle on petalled mounts, opening to reveal a padded interior. The rectangular box with a pierced sheet brass escutcheon to the the front enriched with nailed punchwork flanked by hook catches, 5” (13 cm) high [handle down], 8½” (21.5 cm) in width, 5” (13 cm) in depth.
