A Small Late 17th/Early 18th Century Boarded Oak Coffer. The lid with run-moulded reeding to the border and engrailed chip carving each end. The front board gouge carved with two stylised leaf motifs in rounded reserves; the motifs displayed against a recessed pitted ground enhanced with traces of red paint. The supporting end board having cut-in ‘V’ shaped feet, 20½” (52 cm) high, 35½” (90 cm) wide, 14½” (37 cm) deep.
