The long rectangular lid inlaid with a spray of carnation, narcissi and forget-me-nots in various coloured stones displayed against a black marble ground. The box with elaborately carved moulding incorporating a band of punchwork flower heads to the sides, and raised on carved lion paw feet 4” (10 cm) high, 13½” (34 cm) long, 5½” (14 cm) wide.
