Description
A 19th Century Continental Tulipwood Veneered Escritoire. The rouge royale marble top with canted front corners and a moulded edge above an upper frieze drawer with banded borders, beaded ring handles on beaded mounts. The escritoire having a quarter veneered fall front enclosing banks of small drawers and shelves with a writing surface to the flap. The cupboard below with two doors inlaid with border band looped at the corners, and flanked by canted sides with gilt metal mounts. 56” (142 cm) high, 37” (94 cm) wide, 15½” (39 cm) deep.
