Description
A 17th Century Joined Oak Wainscot Chair. The shaped gouge-carved cresting rail above a shallow frieze panel of carved interlinked C-scrolls and a principal back panel incised with an arch. The uprights carved with a chain of wrythen whorls enhanced with punch-work. The replacement seat on turned legs united by peripheral rails, 40½ in (103 cm) high, 22½ in (57 cm) wide.
