A Late 17th Century Style Carved Walnut Armchair. The tall rectangular back and seat upholstered in a terracotta & gold patterned fabric. The moulded arms with out-swept scroll knop terminals on unusual pierced, broken scroll tripartite supports. The seat edged with tassels and standing on carved front legs reflecting the arm supports, united by an elaborate pierced scrolling front stretchers and turned H-form under-stretcher, 50¼” (128 cm) high, 33” (84 cm) wide.
