Description
A Small Late 19th Century Marquetry Table en Chiffonnière in the Louis XVI Style. The circular top inlaid with a trophy incorporating weapons and symbols of love entwined with flowers framed by a chequered parquetry band within cross-banded borders and edged in a pierced gilt brass gallery rail. The cylindrical body housing three small drawers marquetried with trailing flowers divided by chequer banding flanked by inlaid fluting. The three cabriole legs united by a galleried undershelf inlaid with a scroll inscribed with Poets alongside a quill & ink pot. 31½” (80 cm) high, 14½”£ (37 cm) in diameter.
