The dished centre cast in relief with a profile portrait medallion of classical beauty surrounded by leaping dolphins, entitled SYPAKOSION and signed F LEVILLAIN. The rim having twin scroll handles either side ornamented with rams head terminals and surmounted by relining felines. The piece standing on a pedestal foot 7½” (19 cm) to top of handles, 20½” (52 cm) wide, 15” (38 cm) diameter.
