The lid on original iron loop hinges, having moulded and dentil carved edging above carved sides: Each end fitted with a wrythen iron swing handle centring an arcaded panel enriched with chip carving and flanked by guilloche uprights. The facade carved with curved nulling to the frieze studded with rosette bosses above twin panels adorned with daisy wheels in cushion moulded roundels flanked by breakfront pilasters carved ANNO 16 70 above flowers and swagged drapery. 19” (48 cm) high, 33½” (85 cm) wide, 21” (53 cm) deep.*
